Hess Project
Plenty of stone mulch makes for no grass cutting and the Cedar decks go across the back from one end to the other with planter boxes to create lots of room for entertaining and hot-tubbing. |
Bryant Project
The flagstone patio with oversize steps adds a unique style to an otherwise plain back yard. |
Meyers
Courtyard front entry Japanese style with Mica drilled water feature over the river. A bridge and black Chinese slate walkway lead you to the front door and through the courtyard. |

What a difference! Here Ron designed and built a new look for this front yard, by cutting the driveway to accomodate a soldier course down either side, and creating a semi circle at the top of the driveway in Brussells Block. The front steps are dressed with flag stone and the raised planting beds were done with limestone walling stone. To top it off, the plants are simple but elegant and finally, the uplighting Ron installed gives a subtle and dramatic effect in the evening. |

down both sides of the house and around to the deck in the back yard. |

It works double duty as a lovely backdrop for the plantings. If you look closely, there's a mirror in the centre of the screen. |

which is just enough of a water feature in this garden. |

Ron created all this useable space for this homeowner, on the lake where there was none. From the upper terrace, there is a river course that meanders down one side of the granite staircase, to the random flagstone patio. Â If you look closely ... |
Gardens
Japanese gardens are designed to soothe rather than stimulate, the senses. They rely on the use of evergreen plant material, and unlike other gardens, they can be put in small spaces. Typically, this type of garden is low maintaince. A Japanese gardens are about form and texture. |
Stonework, Pathways, Walkways, Patios
To add a sense of timelessness to the garden, allow moss to grow on garden rocks and ornaments. The proper choice of trees and shrubs is often used to further this effect, their gnarled limbs creating a sense of antiquity and flow. The stone walkways lead you through the wonderland. |
Water Features
The Pond and waterfalls at the edge of the teahouse, is as low-maintenance as possible. The Western style Teahouse is made of cedar, and a new product on the walls, which gives it granite like finish. Thatch on the Roof is from South Africa. Tis a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the fish. |
Poolscapes
A pool is just a pool. But If you are interested in creating your own personal oasis, take a look at some of the Pool-Scaping Ron has created.... From a "Muskoka Look", of natural oversized flagstone with large boulders, used in conjunction with interlocking paving stones to create interest and texture.... For a more formal look, concrete and stone pavers were used, along with pillars and a shade pergola. Because Ron is a hands on contractor, he will only take on as many jobs as can be completed in a season, so you can be assured he will create your own custom paradise, done to high standards and in a timely manner. |
Decks, Fencing
Ron was asked to create something different out of cedar. Here he designed and built these curved railings, following the curves is a bench and planter surrounding the cement stamped patio. |
Structures
Screens, Pergolas, Gazebos, Tea Houses and much more ....
A Zen-like tranquility garden, with waterfalls, pond and stream. Ron turned this former driveway into an Oasis. His clients love to view the Japanese Tea house, and Koi Pond (complete with fish) and meandering stream, or wander through it on the flagstone walkways. The many unusual trees and rare planting material make it a pleasure to enjoy. |
